Summer may be over, but cruising, rod events and tech tips never stop and you’ll find all of that and more in the fall issue of issue of Street Rod Life!
This issue has several amazing stories behind the features. There’s a ’36 Ford coupe (powered by a Mopar!) that’s been in the same family for 50 years, as well as a ’34 Chevy barn find with an incredible history in one small Michigan town. That super cool ’29 pickup on the cover actually a first build for a talented young man plus, we dig into George Poteet and Rad Ride’s interpretation of the Ford Talladega.
It wouldn’t be Street Rod Life without getting out to events and we have coverage from the St. Paul Street Machine Nationals, the monthly Somernites Cruise and the scene from the 2017 SCTA Speedweek coverage from Bonneville. We also were able to take a Quick Cruise Eric Peratt of Pinkees Hot Rods.
Tech wise, Jeff Smith covers the minute details of blueprinting a clutch assembly, we look into fuel tank and supply options, and learn of a new valvetrain break-in technique from the leading cam companies. If that’s not enough, we get a close-up look at ididit’s award winning ’40 steering column, check into keeping power steering fluid cool and get a first look at RideTech’s next generation of air suspension control.
There is plenty more news, columns, photos and fun packed into this fall issue – check it out online or pick one up your local rod shop or event!
