Sheriff Office Benefit Car Show

The long running Sheriff’s Office Benefit Show by the Custom Cruisers continues to roll!

Car shows are great opportunities for car clubs and enthusiasts alike to raise money for local causes. It’s always nice to see a group of gearheads getting together for a cruise, poker run, show or event to help out with a youth sport team, families in need and other causes. Car guys just like to help. IMG_5487

Our contributor Chopper recently sent over photos and info about the Custom Cruisers car club based in New Orleans. The club, which has been around for over 30 years, held their annual Sheriff Office Benefit where the proceeds are donated to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office to help with the purchase of bullet proof vests and other supplies for the police officers.

This year’s event was also a celebration of life for the club’s friend Jerry (Thriller) Virgadamo, who passed away last year. He was a colorful racer and showman with a wheel standing bus and race car.

The show looks like it was another terrific turnout for a great cause. Congrats to the Custom Cruiser car club on helping and supporting your friends and community! Also, thanks to Chopper for sending over all the pics –
