Behind the Scenes of John Callies Long Term ’40 Chevy Project

Photos by Louis Kimery

We’ve had several requests to see more details from the feature we ran earlier this week (and the cover car of our first print issue), the Che’Pon. This ’40 Chevy coupe has been a near-decade long project of John Callies and made it’s debut at the 2014 SEMA show.

Thanks to John and the car’s biographer, Louis Kimery, we have a lot of detailed build images and under the skin shots of this incredible machine. We felt it would be best to simply list the details and specs for you to enjoy. Also, be sure to check out more photos in the gallery at the end of the list.

The work alone just to make the front end tilt is staggering.
